Two Point Hospital On Switch Has Been Delayed To 2020

Two Point Hospital On Switch

Two point products and Sega announced in a blog post that the release of the beloved hospital management simulation game Two Point Hospital on Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will be delayed until 2020.

Two Point Hospital is a spiritual sequel to a 1999 game Theme Hospital, which shares the same overall theme. Released in 2018 for Windows, macOS, and Linux, the game was critically acclaimed for its style and humor stemming from comical ailments which lighten the mood of the hospital Scene.

After the success of this game, Sega announced in July that Two Point Hospital on Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will be released later this year. It has been said that the console version will include all the post-release content for the game. But in October, it was announced that the release of the game will be pushed to 2020.

Reasons for the delay of Two Point Hospital On Switch & other platforms

Two-point studios shared the reasons for this delay in their blog post, saying that making a management simulation game is a tricky programming puzzle and they had to take the game apart and fit it into what is essentially a smaller box.

The team at Two Point Studios is trying to make the game the best it can possibly be. Mark Weebly, a Game director has said that they wanted to deliver a game that can be enjoyed to the fullest on all platforms which means more time is needed to optimize the game.

Delays like this aren’t uncommon in video games. There are many reasons that could keep a game from being released. Many Major games have been delayed for years and some even went to development hell… but that’s a different story.
