Train Ticket Booking Service By Amazon

Amazon India has recently announced that it will be partnering with IRCTC for train ticket booking service on its platform.

For this, the company has also launched a promo page on its Indian website. It has advertised about the new facility. However, this service will continue on the Android app and mobile website for the time being. No information has been shared about the desktop site and IOS yet.

Amazon partnered with IRCTC 

With ticket booking, users will also be able to enjoy live PNR information, download, and cancel the train ticket booking service. However, this service will be available only for those who have booked tickets from Amazon.

Customers will get discount

Along with this, the company has also dropped the train ticket booking service and payment gateway charge as an initial offer. Which means that the customers need not to pay any extra charges.

Cashback of up to Rs. 120 is provided for Amazon Prime customers with a 12% discount on the first booking. For those who are not Prime customers, this discount is only 10 percent. They will be provided a cashback of up to ₹ 100.

To book tickets, the customer has to go to Amazon Pay of Android app or Amazon’s mobile website. After this, they have to choose the train or travel category. After that, they will see the time of the train. Customers can make payments through Amazon Pay Wallet, Debit or Credit Card, or any other third party platform.

Vikas Bansal, director of Amazon Pay, said in his official statement at the launch that the company is very happy to partner with IRCTC. This will be the first step for the company to make it easier and easier for customers.

Flight and bus ticket booking was started by the company last year as well. Along with the train ticket booking service, the company has started providing customers the option to travel by any means.
