Apple To Raise App Store Prices In Europe & Asian Countries

Apple to Raise App Store Prices

Recently, the news of Apple to raise app store prices is officially confirmed. This means everything you purchase from the App store will have a higher price than before. Now, this will not cover the whole of Europe and Asia but some of the countries that lie within.

The prices won’t affect your Auto-renewable subscriptions. This increase in price will start on the 5th of October. Apple has announced all this in a blog post.

Which countries will get affected by the decision of Apple to raise App store prices?

We all are experiencing skyrocketing launches of inflation and economic interest rates. The energy and fuel prices are enough to skip a grown man’s heartbeat. The Euro is struggling more in this year than it did in the last 2 decades. The Euro is fighting with the dollar trying to survive.

Let’s keep the Euro aside and see which other countries will suffer. The increase in price will affect Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, and South Korea in the Asian Continent. In South America, Chile will suffer from the same. Poland and Sweden are also two countries that will face this in Europe. But in some areas like Vietnam, the problem is not because of inflation but because of their country’s tax policies. This was confirmed by Apple.

Ever since Apple launched its new iPhone 14, they have been busy working on its business services to increase profit. This gives them security and they don’t have to always depend on their product launch. The quarterly revenue for Apple Services which also includes your App store has rapidly increased over the past couple of years. They hit around the 20 Billion dollar mark after every six months only with their services.

Not sure if the price increase is necessary or if it’s just corporate greed. But this is going to affect a lot of users. Do you think the decision of Apple to raise app store prices is good?
