LG has recently launched the terrifically amazing LG VELVET alongside LG Wing, increasing the company’s territory in the market and expanding its already amplified portfolio. The latest model is powered by excellent Snapdragon 845 SoC instead of 765 SoC which was found in the global model. This model is one of the best of the brand because of its detachable dual-screen accessory with MIL-STD-810G testing.

LG Velvet – Specifications & Features

LG Velvet, which has been released in the Indian tech market has been priced at Rs. 36,990 and LG VELVET along with dual-screen accessory ranges up to Rs. 49,990 for 8 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage-based version. The model would be available for sale from 30th October 2020. Besides the internal memory, its external storage is extended up to 2 TB of data(microSD). As of now, this elegantly-designed, dual sim phone is available only in one colour: Aurora Silver.

LG Velvet runs on Android 10 and features a 6.8-inch full-HD (2460 X 1080 pixels) Cinema Full Vision P-OLED display, capacitive touchscreen with a magnificent 20.5:9 (~88.7%) aspect ratio, and 395 PPI pixel density.

Power – A Few Words About The Overall Device Capability

The Indian model of LG Velvet is powered by octa-core Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 SoC; instead of globally available (SDM765) 765 SoC. There is a 4,300mAh Li-Ion battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+ support. It supports 25W fast charging, 9W fast wireless charging, and USB power delivery support 3.0.

Dimensionally, this model of LG measures 167.2 mm X 74.1 mm X 7.9 mm and weighs 180 grams. It provides many connectivity options like LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, portable hotspot and USB Type-C port.

The LG Velvet has a triple camera setup at the backside of the body that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, PDAF, and 79-degree field of view. Additionally, there is an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens and a 120-degree field of view.

Talking about the camera, the mobile sports a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens and additionally; with a field view of 81-degree. The phone has a 16-megapixel camera sensor at the front for selfies and video chat that is paired with an f/1.9 lens and offers an 81-degree field of view.

The smartphone sports an IP68 and MIL-STD-810G certification. Specifically, it means the equipment has gone through a series of 29 tests which amplifies real-life conditions; through repeated drops and exposure to extreme temperatures.
