How to Play Fortnite on Apple Vision Pro?

Play Fortnite on Apple Vision Pro

Fortnite, the popular battle royale game, has captivated players across the world. With the release of Apple Vision Pro, gamers around the world are excited about the amazing experience the Apple Vision Pro console offers. The only caveat? There aren’t too many games available right now for the visionOS, and Fortnite happens to be one of them. But there’s no reason to get completely disheartened. You can still play Fortnite on Vision Pro with this workaround and enjoy the magnificence that is Apple Vision Pro.

Play Fortnite on Apple Vision Pro

There’s no direct way to play Fortnite on Apple Vision Pro since the game is not available to install on the VR. However, since you can see your Mac screen on the Apple Vision Pro with Mac Virtual Display, you can enjoy the game on Apple Vision Pro.

Connecting your Mac to Apple Vision Pro

The first thing you need to do is connect your Mac to the Apple Vision Pro. For this to work, both devices must be signed in with the same Apple ID. Your Mac must have macOS Sonoma or later installed.

1. Now, while you’re wearing your Apple Vision Pro, open the Notification panel by swiping down the green arrow.

2. Then, tap the Control Center icon.

Open Control Center Apple Vision Pro

3. Click the Mac Virtual Display icon. Then, select your Mac.

4. Alternatively, if you have a MacBook, simply look at it while wearing the Apple Vision Pro; the display of the Mac should be on.

5. A Connect button should appear on your Apple Vision Pro; tap on it.

Get Fortnite on Mac

Now that you have your Mac screen mirrored on the Apple Vision Pro, you’re halfway through. The next step is to get Fortnite on your Mac if you don’t already have it. You can’t install Fortnite from the App Store on the Mac because Epic Games (makers of Fortnite) and Apple are currently engaged in a legal battle. But there are other ways.

You can play Fortnite using Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, or through Amazon Luna. For this guide, we’ll be using Amazon Luna.

1. Go to from your browser to get started, and go to Fortnite’s listing. You might either find it on the homepage or you can use the search bar.

2. If you have Amazon Prime, you can play Fortnite right away, or you’ll need a Luna+ subscription (which offers a 7-day free trial). Click on Play Free with Prime to play using your Amazon Prime account.

3. Once you’re signed in with your Amazon Prime account, follow the steps on-screen. Now, you can start playing Fortnite.

Connect your Controller

If you’re playing Fortnite on Mac through Amazon Luna, you can use your keyboard and mouse to control the game. But when you throw the Apple Vision Pro into the mix, that becomes rather impractical. Now, you cannot use your hands, eyes, or voice either since the game is not natively available on visionOS. Connecting your Xbox controller is the best way to go here.

1. Turn on your Xbox controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button until it lights up.

2. Then, press and hold the pairing button located at the top edge of the controller until the Xbox button starts blinking rapidly.

3. Open the Bluetooth settings on your Mac and pair your Xbox controller.

That’s it. Your setup is now complete, and you can play Fortnite on your Apple Vision Pro.

Do note that it might take you some time to get the hang of it. There are also challenges with motion blur and you’ll also experience a little bit of delay with the game. But once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to enjoy Fortnite on the mind-blowing console that is Apple Vision Pro!

Final Thoughts

While native Fortnite support for Apple Vision Pro would be the most exciting news for Fortnite lovers, you can still play Fortnite on Apple Vision Pro with a little bit of fortitude. With the simple magic of screen mirroring between your Mac and Apple Vision Pro headset, playing Fortnite on the latter does not have to be a wish. There’s no need to feel left out of the party for Fortnite fans, as the game is still within reach!
