A few months back, some of the features and key specifications of Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 have been revealed by the tipster Ice Universe. And now, the chipset has passed through the Geekbench.

This chipset is the upcoming flagship chipset for mobile phones. And all the incidents and assumptions are giving a sign that the launch of it is right around the corner.

As per the listing on the Geekbench, the Snapdragon 898 is expected to come with a codename and it is most likely to be ‘Taro’. The listing has been done based on a Vivo prototype mobile phone which is a kind of indication that there might be a chance of having a Vivo flagship featuring the Snapdragon 898 after it gets launched.

The device though has 8GB RAM and it runs on Android 12. It also supports a single-core score of 720 and the multi-core score of 1919. The model number of the phone is Vivo V2102A.

The Snapdragon 898 CPU configuration for this test device

A single 2.42 GHz Cortex X2 core; 3×2.17 GHz Cortex-A710 cores; 4×1.79 GHz  Cortex-A510 cores.

From the previous leak, it was made clear that the X2 core could go as high as 3.09 GHz. The X1 core in Snapdragon 888+ goes up to 2.995 GHz and the X2 core will be 16% faster than the X1 core.

Another leaked information about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 is that this chipset will come up with the 4nm manufacturing process by Samsung. This chipset is also rumored to feature the Adreno 739 GPU and the 5G modem of Snapdragon X65. Snapdragon 898 is the current top-dog chipset by Qualcomm. It is basically a rebuilt version of the Snapdragon 888 with a slightly overclocked prime core.

More Information on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will be revealed once it gets officially unveiled by Qualcomm later this year.
