News has come out about the launch of Redmi K40 in February 2021, in China. The teaser poster announces that this flagship gadget is to cost around 2,999 CNY, which is equivalent to almost thirty-four thousand Indian Rupees.
Redmi K40 Specifications
The Redmi K40 series is the latest in line after the Redmi K30 that launched in late 2020. General Manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing revealed that the key specification of the series is its processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The official teaser claims the new series to be cost-effective, which led experts to speculate its arrival at disruptive prices. It will be powered by the lately introduced processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC).
The teaser poster also gives hints into the battery, screen resolution, and design. It promises a battery that is more than four thousand mAh and the highest-quality straight screen. This will be different from Mi 11 which features a screen with curved sides. Along with a quad-camera module, the device might also support a Type-C USB port and 3.5-millimeter headphone pin slot.
The leaked pictures of the new device, suggest features such as a centrally aligned hole-punch display. This suggests that Redmi might do away with its classic pop up selfie camera. The rearview camera would be a rectangular module with three smaller cameras and one large camera sensor.
Redmi K40 would be most likely launched with six gigabytes of RAM and 5G support. Since the general manager of the brand claimed to offer the most expensive flat display, experts anticipate AMOLED displays with 144 Hz display rate, for the Pro version at least.
The inputs are only for the base variant of the flagship phone; and the launch of at least two variants under the flagship – Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro, is expected. Last year, multiple variants were launched under the Redmi K30 series.
Most of these are speculations made based on the teaser poster; past specifications record, and leaks. We expect to know more about the features and specifications through the Redmi K40 official launch.
