The CEO of Tesla – Elon Musk, tweeted that electric cars of Tesla will be coming to India in 2021. Now, the transport minister Nitin Gadkari has confirmed this news. According to an Indian Express report, the Tesla India launch has been confirmed in early 2021.
Gadkari said that India is ready to take a big step towards electric cars, reducing the country’s dependence on oil. Also, it will reduce the pollution of all the metropolitan cities. In India, the electric vehicle eras have not begun due to a lack of resources and investments.
Launch Of Tesla India
We all know that many Indian automobile companies like Tata and Ola cabs are working on electric vehicles. The electric cars will be as advanced as Tata and will be available at a much affordable price. Firstly, Tesla will import its vehicles and decide whether to establish a manufacturing plant in India or not after monitoring people’s responses. Well, there is no official news from Tesla about its debut in India. Tesla Model 3 will be the first electric car to be launch in India. Meanwhile, the Transport Minister says that mostly Tesla will start electric sales by the end of 2021.

As Tesla will import the car, the car’s expected price is Rs. 55 lakhs. The budget for these types of vehicles in the US is almost 22 lakhs. Many investors showed interest in the investment for Tesla cars but left due to the no updates on the car’s launch back in 2016.
