It seems Redmi will launch a brand-new model, known as Redmi K30S, reports claim. A post by Redmi General Manager on the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo has resulted in a stir among netizens and technology enthusiasts. However, the post does not reveal anything about the name of the upcoming device. There has not been any official revelation by Xiaomi regarding the launch of the device. In all likelihood, the model will be unveiled in China first.

Lu Weibing, the General Manager of Redmi, shared something which looked like a teaser image on Weibo. The post shows a silhouette of a person and Redmi text on a screen. Reports claim that even the Vice president of Xiaomi’s mobile division has left a comment under the Weibo post.

The post does not reveal anything substantial but many people believe that the company might be teasing the Redmi K30S. The Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claimed in a tweet that Redmi K30S will be cheaper than the Redmi K30 Ultra. It is expected that the upcoming model will be powered by the processor, Snapdragon 865 SoC, instead of 1000+ SoC as found in the K30 Ultra model.

Pricing & Availability – What to expect?

All the variants of Redmi K30 are quite pricey making it difficult for many buyers to afford it. The several variants of the Redmi K30 Ultra along with their prices are listed below:

  • Redmi K30 Ultra with 8GB RAM+ 128GB storage- Rs. 24300 (Approximately)

  • Redmi K30 Ultra with 8GB RAM+ 512GB storage- Rs. 30000 (Approximately)

In comparison, Redmi K30S is supposed to be cheaper. However, such claims have not been supported by any concrete evidence. The Redmi K30S is expected to sport a 120 Hz refresh rate display, run MIUI 12 and 5G support. It might offer features like fast charging as well. Xiaomi has not confirmed anything yet but it is likely that we will receive more updates soon.
