Usually, Samsung launches its S-series flagship smartphone in mid-February every year. However, Samsung will break that annual tradition because Samsung will launch the next-generation Galaxy S line or the Samsung Galaxy S21 sooner.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Launch Date
South Korean media, The ELEC revealed that based on information from sources close to the company, Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked around the end of January and continue with the initial sale on February 5.
Not yet known the name of this latest Samsung Galaxy S line. However, if you refer to a number of rumors that have circulated previously, Samsung will allegedly use the name Galaxy S21 as the latest Galaxy S line.
The prediction for this faster launch time is also in accordance with the leaks that were previously circulating. Previously, other sources said the Galaxy S21 component suppliers will start shipping components to Samsung much earlier than usual.
The top version is predicted to be the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which will come with a 108 megapixel Samsung HM2 main camera with a Penta camera configuration.
This reinforces the notion that Samsung will indeed “break” tradition and introduce the S21 in an earlier schedule. In comparison, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in mid-February 2020.
The first sales of the three cell phones began on March 6, 2020. It is not certain why Samsung plans to launch the S21 earlier. However, Huawei is alleged to be one of the causes. Huawei is currently in a difficult position to face sanctions from the United States.
As known, due to the ban on doing business with US companies; a number of cellphones made by Huawei are unable to use Google services. In addition, an earlier launch time of Galaxy S21 is also said to boost sales numbers.
